MIL-DTL-83361B
4.5.7 Sealing. The indicator case shall be tested for leaks by means of a mass-
spectrometer-type helium leak detector. The detected leakage rate shall not exceed 0.1 micron
cubic foot per hour at a pressure differential of 1 atmosphere.
4.5.8 Lighting. The indicator shall be subjected to the sampling plan A tests of MIL-L-27160.
4.5.9 Vibration. Prior to conducting this test, the test indicator shall be operated under
standard ambient conditions and a record shall be made of all data necessary to determine
compliance with the requirements of 4.5.5. The entire test shall be conducted at ambient
temperature with the indicator properly connected and with power applied. The lighting circuit
shall be energized with 4.5 V + 0.5 V, -0.0 V AC. The three mutually perpendicular axes of
applied vibration and the location where the acceleration and excursion(s) shall be monitored are
No more than four resonances shall be tested in each axis.
